Young Adult Transitional Living at Pivot
Where Recovery Becomes Real Life
When treatment ends, the real work begins. Pivot offers a structured transitional living program in Tucson, Arizona, designed specifically for young men who are committed to long-term sobriety, emotional growth, and building an independent life.
We bridge the gap between clinical care and full independence—with a program built to support real recovery, not just abstinence.

What Is Transitional Living for Young Adults?
For many young men, going straight from treatment back to daily life can feel overwhelming—or even dangerous. Our transitional living program offers a step-down level of care that keeps the support, structure, and responsibility in place while giving residents the space to practice living on their own.
This means:
- More independence, but not too much.
- Real-world responsibilities, with backup when it’s needed.
- A community that holds you accountable, while cheering you on.
Who This Program is For
Pivot’s transitional living program is a fit for young men who:
Have completed primary treatment for substance use or co-occurring mental health disorders
Are ready for more independence but still need structure and support
Want to go back to college, get a job, or finish high school while staying sober
Need help building life skills, routines, and confidence
Are committed to recovery but don’t want to do it alone
Our Transitional Living Program Includes

Daily Structure & Responsibliity
Residents follow a personalized weekly schedule with daily check-ins, house responsibilities, and regular drug/alcohol screening. Progress earns more independence.

Licensed Clinical Support
Our team includes licensed therapists who provide individual, group, and family therapy. We treat substance use and co-occurring mental health issues using evidence-based approaches.

Life Skills Development
From budgeting and cooking to time management and job readiness, we teach the practical skills it takes to live independently—and thrive.

Education & Career Support
Whether you’re finishing high school through our Recovery High School, starting at Pima Community College, or attending the University of Arizona, we’ll help you set academic goals and stay on track.

Recovery Programming
We are a 12-step-based program. Residents attend regular meetings, work with a sponsor, complete step work, and take on service commitments. Many participate in Wildcats Anonymous (the UA student recovery group).

Community & Connection
Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. Through peer support, group activities, service work, and recreation, residents build healthy friendships and learn how to enjoy life sober.
Our Young Men’s Campuses
Designed to meet the unique needs of adolescent young men, Pivot's ATL campus is for teen men who have successfully completed residential treatment or other similar programs and need additional support to maintain their sobriety while learning how to negotiate the challenges and transitions of adolescence.
A quiet, courtyard-style complex for residents easing back into school or work. Ideal for those taking 1–2 classes or part-time jobs.
A fraternity-style home for full-time students attending college or university, with academic support built in.

What Makes Pivot Different
- A phased program that allows autonomy to grow with structure still in place
- Integrated clinical support—no need to outsource therapy or mental health care
- Peer-led support that encourages real ownership of your recovery
- A reputation for long-term success, with many alumni going on to graduate college, build careers, and stay sober
