A Bridge Between Treatment & Independence
Sober Living for Young Adults
Leaving residential treatment for addiction or mental health doesn’t mean recovery is over. It just means a new phase is beginning. At Pivot, our sober living community for young adults offers the structure, support, and sense of purpose that helps young men move forward with confidence and clarity—in a transitional living model.
We work with young men who are serious about building a sober life, but who may still need help learning how to navigate the day-to-day demands of school, work, relationships, and personal growth. Our program is based in Tucson, Arizona, and combines accountability with opportunity in a vibrant, recovery-friendly city.

What Is Sober Living for Young Adults?
Sober living is a safe and supportive housing environment for individuals in early recovery. But for young adults, especially those who are just finishing high school or entering college, it needs to be more than that. It needs to feel like a real launching pad for adult life—not a step backward or a holding pattern. That’s why we launched Pivot Transitional Living.
At Pivot, our sober living model is much more comprehensive than the norm, and designed specifically for young adult men. Far beyond just avoiding substances, we guide clients as they learn how to live independently, develop strong relationships, pursue education or employment, and take ownership of their future.
Pivot Transitional Living Clients
Our program is ideal for young men who:
Have recently completed a residential or wilderness treatment program
Are committed to sobriety and recovery but not yet ready for full independence
May be returning to or starting college, high school, or vocational programs
Need to develop life skills, emotional regulation, or time management
Are looking for a community of peers who understand the challenges of early recovery
Want to build a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and sustainable
We welcome residents from across the U.S., including those referred by clinical professionals, therapeutic consultants, or primary treatment centers, and offer intake year-round.
Our Tucson Campuses
Situated on on the northeast side of Tucson and backed by the Santa Catalina Mountains of the Coronado National Forest, the ATL campus sits on 3 acres of horse property, has a gourmet kitchen, large pool with a grotto waterfall and slide, a full outdoor kitchen, fire pit, putting green, and even a basketball court.
A private, courtyard-style residential complex where young men take 1–2 college classes, work, or volunteer. The campus simulates independent living with shared homes, a koi pond, fire pit, meditation garden, and staff support on site.
A large estate built by renowned architect Josias Joesler, this “fraternity-style” house is home to residents taking 3+ college classes. With a chef’s kitchen, entertainment spaces, and quiet study areas, it’s ideal for students pursuing long-term academic success while staying sober.
What to Expect at Pivot’s Sober Living Community

Daily Structure & Accountability
Residents follow weekly schedules that include goal setting, check-ins, curfews, house responsibilities, and drug/alcohol screening. Growth earns more freedom.

Licensed Clinical Support
We offer access to individual therapy, group counseling, and clinical oversight. Our expert team specializes in dual diagnosis support and evidence-based practices for substance use and mental health in young adult populations.

12-Step Engagement
Residents attend regular recovery meetings, engage with sponsors, and work through the steps. Many participate in Wildcats Anonymous, the University of Arizona's student-led recovery group.

Life Skills Development
We teach everyday skills like budgeting, cooking, time management, conflict resolution, and even digital hygiene. The goal is long-term independence, not just short-term compliance.

Education & Career Support
Residents can complete high school at our on-campus Recovery High School, enroll at Pima Community College, or attend University of Arizona—with built-in tutoring, advising, and study hours as a safety net.

Recreational Activities & Service Work
We believe fun and purpose go hand-in-hand with recovery. Our residents take part in group outings, service projects, international trips, and recovery events in Tucson that make life in recovery feel full—not restrictive.

Recovery Community
Residents live in shared homes and build strong bonds through shared experiences, mutual accountability, and group living. Many alumni remain friends long after they leave the program—and many return to work for us!

A Step-Down Model of Care
As residents progress, they move through phases that increase independence. This creates a clear path forward—from full structure to full freedom—with guidance every step of the way.
