A Message for Young Adults

You’ve Done the Hard Part. Now Let’s Build What Comes Next.

First: Congratulations. You’ve made it through treatment. You’ve worked hard to get clean and sober, stayed that way for longer than you probably thought possible, and you’ve started to understand yourself more deeply—from what led you here, to what matters to you, and—most importantly—what you're capable of.

That’s not just recovery. That’s transformation. And it’s something to be proud of.

But here’s the truth: For many young adults, finishing treatment is just the beginning. Life outside those walls doesn’t automatically get easier. Your friends from back home may not understand the changes you’ve made. The places and people that once felt familiar might suddenly feel heavy, or risky. You might be clear on what you don’t want—but uncertain about how to build something better.

That’s where Pivot comes in.

Why Pivot Transitional Living?

Pivot is a transitional living program in Tucson, Arizona, created for young men who are serious about building a life in recovery—but need support in doing it.

We’re here to give you the structure you still need, and the autonomy you deserve. That means you can:

  • Go to college or finish high school
  • Get a job or explore your next steps
  • Work with a sponsor and stay connected to the 12-Step community
  • Build real friendships with people who are doing this alongside you
  • Learn how to navigate life without substances—while still enjoying it

Here, recovery doesn’t mean isolation or punishment. It means movement. Choice. Progress. And yes, fun.

Our Transitional Living Community

You don’t have to do life alone. At Pivot, you’ll be living alongside other young men who know exactly what it’s like to start over. You’ll have support from people who’ve been through it—and from a team who believes that recovery doesn’t have to be boring to be effective.

Each week, we make space for adventure and connection. That includes:

Weekend outings like paintball, rock climbing, hiking, concerts, and sports games

Access to three gyms and other wellness resources to support your mental and physical health

Trips and service work that help you get out of your head and into something bigger

House meetings and shared meals that build a sense of family

We take recovery seriously, but we don’t take life too seriously. In short, if you can’t imagine being happy without drinking or using, we’ll show you what’s actually possible.

And we do it all in our three urban campuses in the heart of Tucson:

The Adolescent Transitional Campus:

Situated on on the northeast side of Tucson and backed by the Santa Catalina Mountains of the Coronado National Forest, the ATL campus sits on 3 acres of horse property, has a gourmet kitchen, large pool with a grotto waterfall and slide, a full outdoor kitchen, fire pit, putting green, and even a basketball court.

Life at Pivot Transitional Living

In our program, you’ll be able to do the things that matter—school, work, dating, and building your own schedule—but within a structure that keeps you grounded. Over time, you’ll move through phases of independence, each one designed to prepare you for what comes next.

You’ll learn to:

  • Budget and manage your time
  • Navigate conflict without numbing out
  • Build healthy routines and hold yourself accountable
  • Set boundaries and stick to them
  • Experience joy, discomfort, and growth—without needing to escape it

Many of our residents go on to finish college, build careers, and make Tucson their long-term home. This isn’t because they have to; but because they find something here that works.

Are You Ready for a New Life?

The typical Pivot resident is someone who knows he needs more support before stepping fully into adult life. He’s done treatment, made progress, and is willing to keep going. That willingness is all we need to build from.

You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to go back to an environment that doesn’t support who you’re becoming.

Check out our social media profiles for a glimpse inside the Pivot community.
