Start Building the Life You Want in Transitional Living
If you’re a young man in recovery—or the parent of one—you know how hard the early stages of real life after residential treatment or a wilderness program can be. At Pivot, we’re here to guide that next step with a structured, supportive program designed specifically for young adults who are ready to grow.
Whether you’re returning to school, preparing for your first job, or just trying to get your feet under you, our team will walk with you as you take those first real steps toward independence.

Who Can Join Pivot Transitional Living?
We welcome young men from across the U.S. who are:
- 15 to 28 years old
- In recovery from substance use and/or co-occurring mental health issues
- Coming out of wilderness therapy, residential treatment, or IOP
- Committed to maintaining recovery
- Seeking a structured environment to continue growing emotionally, socially, and academically
Whether you’re ready to finish high school, apply to college, or learn life skills for independent living, Pivot offers a highly personalized, phase-based program to support your goals.

Included When You Join Our Community in Tucson
Gym Memberships
We partner with local gyms so that all residents have access to high-quality workout facilities. Exercise is proven to boost mental health and lower relapse risk—and we make it a regular part of life here. Whether it’s lifting, swimming, yoga, or just getting your energy out after a long day, movement is encouraged and supported. Every client gets three gym memberships:

University of Arizona Rec Center
Open 7 days a week and with 3 convenient locations, U of A boasts some of the best college gyms in the country. From indoor sports courts, to weight rooms, and fitness classes, you'll find everything you need.

Yoga Oasis
Just over the wall from our campus, the nationally recognized instructors of Yoga Oasis offer beginner to expert classes.

Boxing Inc.
Across the street from campus, Boxing Inc. offers classes, one-on-one instruction, sparring, bag classes, and more—a great way to get cardio training in without clocking hours on a treadmill!

Weekend Adventures & Group Trips
Every month, we organize recreational outings that remind our residents what life in recovery can feel like: fun, energizing, and full of possibility. From snowboarding in the mountains and exploring Sedona to road trips, rafting, concerts, and service retreats, our trips help build friendships and expand what’s possible outside of old habits.
Residents regularly take part in:
- Hiking and camping in Arizona’s national parks
- Snow trips to Flagstaff or Mount Lemmon
- Community service weekends
- Sober sporting events, music festivals, and local art nights
- Group meals and weekend road trips
These experiences aren’t just fun; they’re practice—for living sober, handling stress, showing up for others, and enjoying life without substances.
